Pycnogenol® is a purely natural plant extract derived from the bark of the maritime pine (Pinus pinaster), which is native to southern France. Pycnogenol® is rich in OPCs (oligomeric proanthocyanidins), which belong to the group of flavanols – these are secondary plant compounds. Whilst these are not essential for the plant itself, they are undoubtedly beneficial.
The OPCs have a very high bioavailability, which means that they are also very well absorbed by the human body and can exert their antioxidant effect. In Bios Pine Bark Extract 50 mg capsules, these valuable plant compounds are perfectly dosed and can therefore optimally unleash their antioxidant potential.
