Jerusalem artichokes (Helianthus tuberosus) originate from Central and North America. Due to its numerous valuable ingredients, such as the antioxidant polyphenols, the "Indian tuber" is very resistant to predators and harmful environmental influences; an effect that also benefits the human body. Jerusalem artichokes are particularly well known for their high inulin content. In combination with water, this indigestible polysaccharide swells up in the stomach and leaves you feeling full quickly, which is why taking Jerusalem artichokes is an ideal supplement to slimming diets. This sugar compound passes through the small intestine intact and is only broken down in the large intestine. The prebiotic winter vegetable therefore only activates the growth of beneficial intestinal bacteria such as lactobacteria and bifidobacteria in the large intestine and thus maintains the intestinal flora. Topinambur is also known as the "diabetic tuber", and not without good reason. This is because people with blood sugar issues in particular benefit from eating this valuable tuber.
As inulin, the long-chain sugar substance, cannot be digested because the enzymes required for this are missing in the human body, eating it has no effect on blood sugar levels. Chlorogen, another valuable plant substance, also prevents sugar absorption in the blood and, together with betaine, choline and saponins, prevents uncontrolled harmful cell growth. Jerusalem artichokes are rich in vitamins and minerals, especially potassium. Topinambur Amino Acid Vitamin Bios Capsules also contain the vitamins thiamine (vitamin B1), riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3), pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and biotin (vitamin B9), all of which contribute to normal energy metabolism. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein and glycogen metabolism and to the normal function of the immune system. Riboflavin contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and biotin contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism
