Bios Papaya Enzyme Capsules are a food supplement containing papain. The so-called milky juice is obtained by cutting the fruit shortly before it is ripe and drying it to produce the so-called raw papain.

The papaya belongs to the melon tree family and is found from southern Mexico to Costa Rica. The enzyme in papaya is called papain and helps the plant to defend itself against pests. The enzyme is mainly extracted from the still greenish skin and seeds of the tropical fruit. It belongs to the group of proteolytic enzymes, which are important tools for digesting protein-rich food.
