Bios PPI Gastro Protection Capsules are a dietary supplement containing magnesium, iron, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin B12 and vitamin D3.

Medicines used to reduce stomach acid, known as proton pump inhibitors (=PPIs), upset the balance of micronutrients. For example, in the stomach, the shift in pH from acidic to alkaline prevents the release of vitamin B12 from food. This in turn means that vitamin B12 cannot subsequently be absorbed in the small intestine. Deficiencies in magnesium, calcium, iron and vitamin D also arise as a result of this shift in pH level. The consequences include disturbances in vascular and bone metabolism, as well as elevated homocysteine levels. Our capsules are designed to provide micronutrient support whilst taking proton pump inhibitors.

Adults: Take 1 capsule once daily with liquid.

Ingredients

• Ingredients: magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide, iron bisglycinate, pyridoxine HCl, colecalciferol (microcrystalline cellulose, vitamin D3), folic acid, methylcobalamin, capsule shell: cellulose.
• Composition per daily dose (1 capsule) %NRV*: 105 mg magnesium (28 % NRV*), 25 mg iron (178 % NRV*), 25 mg vitamin B6 (1785 % NRV*), 600 μg folic acid (300% NRV*), 300 μg vitamin B12 (12,000% NRV*) and 20 μg vitamin D3 (100% NRV*). *NRV = Percentage of the recommended daily intake.
