Bios L-Ornithine / L-Tyrosine capsules are a food supplement containing the amino acids L-ornithine and L-tyrosine.

Bios L-Ornithine / L-Tyrosine capsules combine the significant properties of two amino acids that play an important role in human metabolism. L-Ornithine is an intermediate product of the urea cycle and is produced from L-arginine. It is involved in the conversion of ammonia – a waste product of digestion – into urea, which is then excreted in the urine. An overburdened liver can no longer break down this nitrogen compound effectively, meaning it can enter the brain unhindered and trigger serious reactions there. Furthermore, L-ornithine is a precursor for the synthesis of polyamines, which are important for cell division, as well as for the formation of DNA, proteins and blood vessels. It promotes a good night’s sleep, particularly in cases of declining liver function, which often leads to problems sleeping through the night. 

L-tyrosine serves as a precursor for the formation of the mood-enhancing neurotransmitters dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline, which play a central role in regulating our emotions. An imbalance in these neurotransmitters can affect mood and general well-being. L-tyrosine is also involved in the synthesis of phenylethylamine (PEA), a stimulating neurotransmitter that is released in greater quantities during moments of euphoria. Furthermore, L-tyrosine is a precursor for the production of the thyroid hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine, as well as for melanin, which is responsible for skin pigmentation. Directions for use

Adults: Take 1 capsule twice daily or 2 capsules once daily with liquid.

Ingredients

• Ingredients: L-ornithine HCl; L-tyrosine; gelatine*; colourings*: titanium dioxide, iron oxides and iron hydroxides, Ponceau 4 R**, quinoline yellow**, Patent Blue V. *Capsule shell. **May have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children!
• Composition per daily dose (2 capsules): 375 mg L-ornithine and 250 mg L-tyrosine.
