Bios Fucus capsules are a food supplement with bladderwrack and bryony leaves. The seaweed contains inorganically and organically bound iodine, bromides, mucilage, alginic acid and polyphenols (fucole).
Fucus Bios capsules are composed of bladderwrack (Fucus vesiculosus) and birch leaf extract. Bladderwrack, a North Atlantic brown algae, is a natural source of iodine. This essential trace element is a component of thyroid hormones and is therefore important for their intact production. Iodine deficiency causes an enlargement of the thyroid gland. Large parts of Central Europe are considered iodine-deficient areas and iodine deficiency is still a common phenomenon worldwide. In addition to iodine, bladderwrack also contains vitamins, minerals, polysaccharides, polyphenols, as well as fucoxanthin and fucoidan, a mucilage that boosts the body's defences. In combination with birch leaf extract, which is rich in bitter substances, the preparation can be used in fasting cures
