Bios Folic Acid 2.5 mg capsules are a dietary supplement and support the body in cell division, haematopoiesis and contribute to a normal homocysteine level.

Folic acid (also known as vitamin B9) is a vital vitamin. Foods particularly rich in folic acid are wheat germ, spinach, cabbage, broccoli and baked goods made from wholemeal flour as well as meat and liver. Folic acid is involved in many metabolic processes in the body and is necessary for the growth and division of cells, especially for the formation of red and white blood cells. Folic acid should also be considered when planning a pregnancy and during pregnancy. If too little folic acid is taken in, weakness, tiredness and irritability can be the result. Our capsules are therefore a useful supplement in certain life situations.

Directions
Adults: Take 1 x 1 capsule daily with liquid.

Ingredients
  • Ingredients: Filler: mannitol (may have a laxative effect if consumed in excess!); folic acid; anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids. Capsule shell: gelatine; colours in the capsule shell: brilliant blue FCF, allura red AC (may impair activity and attention in children!), titanium dioxide.
  • Composition per daily dose (1 capsule): 2.5 mg folic acid (1250 % NRV*) *NRV = per cent of the recommended daily intake.
