Bios Cystine 500 mg capsules are a food supplement containing the amino acid L-cystine. The dipeptide cystine consists of two molecules of the amino acid cysteine. If required, cystine and cysteine can be converted into each other.
Cystine is an important source of bound sulphur for the human organism. Cystine is found in high concentrations in keratins, a group of fibre-forming structural proteins. These are the main component of hair and nails, but also of the skin. Cystine 500 mg GPH capsules are obtained by acid hydrolysis of keratins and are not of animal origin.
