Bios Citrulline 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing the amino acid L-citrulline. Citrulline is a non-proteinogenic amino acid, which means it is not involved in the formation of proteins.
Rather, citrulline is an intermediate product of the urea cycle. In this process, nitrogen-containing breakdown products are metabolised and subsequently excreted in the urine. Citrulline is the precursor to arginine and is therefore particularly popular amongst sports enthusiasts. This is because strength and endurance are crucial factors for athletes in particular, and increased energy leads to improved performance. Arginine is also the sole precursor for the formation of nitric oxide (NO), a small substance that, amongst other things, supports blood flow to the muscles. Citrulline 500 mg Bios capsules contain pure citrulline and are free from any fillers.
