The chromium chelate 100 mcg capsules from Bios are a dietary supplement and contribute to the normal metabolism of macronutrients and support the maintenance of normal blood sugar levels.

Chromium is an essential trace element. Meat products, brewer's yeast and wholemeal products in particular contain chromium. Chromium plays a role in stabilising blood sugar levels so that food cravings can be reduced. It is also involved in fat metabolism and can have a positive effect on blood lipid levels. Supplementing with chromium can be useful for people with diabetes, those on a high-carbohydrate diet with a low proportion of wholegrain cereals and people with an increased metabolism (e.g. endurance athletes). As both the absorption capacity and the storage quantity of chromium decrease with increasing age, supplementation can also be beneficial for older people. Our capsules contain the trace element in the form of a chelate. This allows it to enter the intestine undamaged and be absorbed into the body via special transport systems.

Adults: Take 1 x 1 capsule daily with liquid.

Ingredients
  • Ingredients: Filler: mannitol (may have a laxative effect if consumed in excess!); chromium nicotinate glycinate (cellulose, chromium nicotinate glycinate, maltodextrin), anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids. Capsule shell: gelatine; colouring in the capsule shell: titanium dioxide.
  • Composition per daily dose (1 capsule): 100 μg chromium (250 % NRV*) *NRV = per cent of the recommended daily intake.
