Bios Chromium 100 mcg capsules are a dietary supplement and contribute to the normal metabolism of macronutrients and support the maintenance of normal blood sugar levels.
Chromium is an essential trace element. Meat products, brewer's yeast and wholemeal products in particular contain chromium. Chromium plays a role in stabilising blood sugar levels so that food cravings can be reduced. It is also involved in fat metabolism and can have a positive effect on blood lipid levels. Supplementing with chromium can be useful for people with diabetes, those on a high-carbohydrate diet with a low proportion of wholegrain cereals and people with an increased metabolism (e.g. endurance athletes). As both the absorption capacity and the storage quantity of chromium decrease with increasing age, supplementation can also be beneficial for older people
