Bios Carnosine 250 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing the dipeptide L-carnosine, which is composed of the amino acids β-alanine and L-histidine.
L-carnosine is a natural substance produced by the body, which is found in particularly
high concentrations in muscle and nerve cells, but
also in the heart muscle, kidneys, liver, brain and other
organs. L-carnosine is composed of the two
amino acids L-alanine and L-histidine. It
possesses the remarkable property of rejuvenating cells,
restoring their normal appearance and
extending their lifespan. As an antioxidant,
L-carnosine neutralises harmful free radicals
in the body. Due to its pronounced protective effects
on our brain, it is also referred to as a neuropeptide.
Unfortunately, our L-carnosine levels decline with age.
Although L-carnosine occurs naturally in foods such as meat,
these amounts are relatively small. A
dietary supplement containing 250 mg of carnosine in Bios capsules
can help prevent a carnosine deficiency.
