Bios Calcium Chelate 170 mg Capsules: A high-dose calcium supplement for strong bones and teeth. Organically bound calcium for optimal absorption.
Calcium is an important mineral
in the human body. It is of great importance
for bone density (strength) and for healthy
teeth. Calcium also plays an essential role
in human metabolism. It is involved in the transmission of signals
between muscles and nerve cells, intracellular
signalling, as well as in the stabilisation of
cell membranes and blood clotting. The
element is found primarily in dairy products, spinach leaves
and broccoli. In cases of lactose intolerance or a deliberate
avoidance of dairy products, for athletes – particularly
those involved in endurance sports (calcium loss due to heavy
sweating) – during the menopause, and in cases of allergies,
calcium supplementation has proven effective. As
calcium chelate, it can pass safely into the gut,
where it is absorbed into the body via specialised transport systems in the small intestine wall.
This increases the
amount of calcium absorbed and improves tolerability.

Directions for use
Adults: take up to 5 capsules daily with liquid.
Ingredients
- Ingredients: buffered calcium bisglycinate (calcium bisglycinate, calcium carbonate, maltodextrin, silicon dioxide); bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose. Capsule shell: gelatine; colouring agent in the capsule shell: titanium dioxide.
- Composition per 1 capsule: 170 mg calcium, equivalent to 21% NRV*. *NRV = Percentage of the recommended daily intake.
