Bios Aspartic Acid 500 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing the amino acid L-aspartic acid. Aspartic acid is one of the non-essential, proteinogenic amino acids.
Together with glutamic acid, aspartic acid is one of the brain’s most important neurotransmitters and therefore influences mental and physical performance. This amino acid is also the precursor to coenzyme A, which is involved in the breakdown of fatty acids, as well as in carbohydrate and protein metabolism. Aspartic acid is also a component of urea metabolism. As it plays a key role in the synthesis of glycoproteins and influences the body’s testosterone levels, aspartic acid is frequently used by athletes. Taking it is particularly beneficial during periods of intensive training.
