Bios Aspartic Acid 500 mg Capsules are a food supplement containing the amino acid L-aspartic acid. Aspartic acid is one of the non-essential, proteinogenic amino acids.

Together with glutamic acid, aspartic acid is one of the most important neurotransmitters in the brain and therefore influences mental and physical performance. This amino acid is also the precursor of coenzyme A, which is involved in the breakdown of fatty acids and in sugar and protein metabolism. Aspartic acid is also a component of the urea metabolism. As it plays an important role in the synthesis of glycoproteins and has an influence on the body's testosterone levels, aspartic acid is often used by athletes. It is particularly useful during training-intensive phases.
