Bios Aloe Vera 400 mg capsules are a dietary supplement containing aloe vera powder. The tropical plant aloe vera, also known as the desert lily, has been valued as a herbal preparation since at least the fourth century BC.

The ancient Greeks, Cleopatra, the Romans and the Incas already knew and used the positive properties of aloe vera for skin care, as a defence against insects and to promote wound regeneration. The gel inside the leaves of the plant contains water, numerous vitamins, enzymes, minerals, amino acids, essential oils and the ingredient aloverose (acemannan), a long-chain mucopolysaccharide that strengthens the body's defences and has natural germicidal properties. The higher the acemannan content, the higher the quality of the product. Aloe vera is characterised by a high water content and dissolved heterosaccharides, which gives it moisturising properties. Aloe Vera 400 mg Bios capsules contain the powder of real aloe from the aloin-free gel of the leaves and are free from additives.
