Why Gluten REDUX

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye and barley (and is used to make biscuits, pasta and bread). It is too large for the body to break down and can cause digestive problems for many people as it inflames the small intestine. As a result, the intestinal wall becomes weak and permeable, allowing unwanted components to enter our system (also known as 'leaky gut'). The result is a negative spiral of leaky gut ⟺ GI effects associated with the consumption of gluten-containing foods.

Gluten intolerance or non-celiac gluten sensitivity is not easy to diagnose. The only remedy is a GLUTEN-FREE DIET (GFD). This diet is effective, but:

The science

With our IQB technology, we have specifically selected Bifidobacterium longum IQB 2901 and Bifidobacterium breve IQB 0611 for their ability to dampen the intestinal response to gluten exposure. Lactobacillus rhamnosus IQB 2911 is known to improve the integrity of the intestinal barrier and maintain intestinal balance. The gluten enzyme Tolerase® G will help break down gluten proteins into smaller parts in the gut. Tolerance levels in gluten-sensitive individuals can be increased and their reactions to accidental gluten exposure are better controlled.

Gluten REDUX mechanism of action

When gluten-containing foods are consumed:

  1. The gluten enzyme Tolerase® G, with the help of EGCG from green tea, helps to break down gluten proteins into smaller pieces in the gut.
  2. It has been shown in vitro that epigallocathechin-3-gallate (EGCG) sequesters gluten and binds to gluten.
  3. Bioceutical™ complex of Bifidobacterium breve IQB 0611, Bifidobacteria longum IQB 2901 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus IQB 2911 maintain the balance of the microbiome.
  4. This microbiotic mixture supports the intestinal barrier.
  5. EGCG, palmitoyl ethanol amide (PEA) and the microbiotics support intestinal balance.
  6. Our Bioceutical™ complex creates a positive balance in the gut.
  7. Vitamin A and D additionally support the immune system and prevent any nutrient deficiencies that may occur.
The ingredients

Unique Bioceutical™ Complex as a multi-target approach to alleviate gluten intolerance:

  • Microbiotic strains: Bifidobacterium breve IQB 0611, Bifidobacterium longum IQB 2901 and Lactobacillus rhamnosus IQB 2911, scientifically proven to regulate the immune response and improve the integrity of the intestinal mucosa and intestinal barrier.
  • Tolerase® G enzyme that supports the breakdown of gluten. This is a superior enzyme that can digest gluten even in stomach acid. Clinically proven
  • EGCG: epigallocatechin-3-gallate from green tea, a powerful antioxidant polyphenol that has also been shown to help break down gluten.
  • Calcium: an important mineral in the body that supports the normal function of digestive enzymes. The food you eat is digested properly and nutrients are better absorbed.
  • PEA: Palmitoylethanolamide. A fatty substance that is normally present in the body and is activated as the body's natural anti-inflammatory defence. PEA helps to dampen the immune response in the gut.
  • Vitamin A and D (vegan) are essential fat-soluble vitamins that have a positive effect on the immune system and help to prevent nutrient deficiencies that can occur during a gluten-free diet.
