Bekunis® Laxative Complex plus is a medical product for the treatment of acute or chronic constipation and accompanying flatulence. Also for use in constipation associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Laxative Complex plus with three proven ingredients gently helps with acute or chronic constipation and accompanying flatulence. The ingredient macrogol increases the water content in the bowel. This softens hard stools and increases the stool volume. Natural bowel movements are stimulated and pain-free bowel evacuation is made possible. The water-soluble fibre and swelling agents in Indian psyllium husks support intestinal function in a natural way. They also bind liquid and transport it into the bowel. The stool becomes smoother, further transport is accelerated and the normal urge to defecate is stimulated. At the same time, simeticone's anti-foaming effect reduces the formation of flatulence or bloating that often accompanies constipation.

How to use

• Take throughout the day (e.g. morning and evening) between meals. The dosage can be reduced to 1 sachet per day according to individual feeling and the success of the treatment. Do not exceed the daily dose. Dissolve the contents of one sachet well in a full glass of water (at least 200 ml), stir and drink immediately, as the liquid thickens quickly due to the highly swelling psyllium husks (gel formation). Drink another glass of water to prevent swelling in the throat and possible choking. Adults are recommended to drink approx. 2 litres, children and adolescents approx. 1 to 1.5 litres per day. If constipation persists after taking the product, a doctor should be consulted. In the event of intolerance or other side effects, discontinue treatment immediately and consult a doctor. Do not take Bekunis Laxative Complex plus for longer than 30 days, if the symptoms persist, consult a doctor!
• Do not use Bekunis laxative complex plus in the case of Breakthrough, obstruction, narrowing or paralysis of the bowel Inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis) Known hypersensitivity to one or more of the product's ingredients There is no experience of taking Bekunis Laxative Complex plus during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so in this case it should only be taken on medical advice if necessary. No dose adjustment is necessary for patients with renal dysfunction. Side effects: Side effects have rarely been reported at doses required for a therapeutic effect. Transient gastrointestinal disturbances may sometimes occur, such as diarrhoea (especially at the beginning), abdominal pain, flatulence and nausea. In rare cases, the components of the product have caused hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash and hives). In the event of intolerance or other side effects, discontinue treatment immediately and consult a doctor. Interactions with medicines and food supplements: If taken at the same time as other medicines, Bekunis Laxative Complex plus can alter their bioavailability. In particular, the strong osmotic effect of macrogol and the increased speed of passage through the gastrointestinal tract can impair the effectiveness of medicines. Psyllium can enhance the effect of antidiabetic drugs and cause excessive hypoglycaemic effects. It is recommended to take medications or supplements at least 2 hours after or before using the product. However, in case of other therapies with life-saving drugs (such as insulin), you should consult a doctor before taking the product.
