BIOGELAT® Vitamin E 400 mg capsules are a high-dose dietary supplement containing vitamin E. Vitamin E helps to protect cells from oxidative stress.

What is vitamin E and how does it work?

Vitamin E is a vitamin that protects cells, for example in the joints, from what is known as ‘oxidative stress’. This protective function of vitamin E in the human body is important for trapping and inactivating so-called ‘free radicals’ (= unstable, highly reactive atoms or molecules). These free radicals are caused by harmful environmental factors, stress, but also by increased alcohol and cigarette consumption. Vitamin E has the ability to neutralise these aggressive free radicals and helps to protect cell structures from damage.
