- D-mannose: D-mannose is a natural bioactive monosaccharide found in small quantities in fruits and berries (such as apples, pineapples and cranberries). D-mannose also occurs naturally in small quantities in the human body, including in the urinary tract.
- Cranberry fruit: Cranberry fruit contains many important ingredients, such as the phytochemicals proanthocyanidins (PACs).
- In addition, UroAkut® granules contain vitamin B3, vitamin C and vitamin D3: vitamin B3 (niacin) helps maintain normal mucous membranes (including those of the urinary tract). Vitamins C and D help the immune system function normally. Furthermore, vitamin C helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
Dosage form
Directions for use
- People aged 12 and over: Take 1 sachet in the morning and 1 in the evening with plenty of water.
- Children aged 4–11 years: Consult a doctor before use. If recommended, take one sachet daily before going to bed. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose.
- Instructions for preparation: Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass of water (approx. 200 ml) and drink slowly. UroAkut® granules dissolve immediately and can be taken as a hot or cold drink. In some cases, the urine may have a strong odour after the first dose. Higher doses of D-mannose may have a mild laxative effect if taken repeatedly.
- Information for diabetics: 0.3 BE per sachet.
- Information for people with food intolerances: UroAkut® granules contain no ingredients derived from cereals and are therefore suitable for a gluten-free diet. Furthermore, all ingredients are free from milk components, meaning that UroAkut® granules are lactose-free. The product contains no preservatives.
