BERICARD drops, 50 ml

Bericard drops contain a liquid extract of hawthorn leaves and flowers. Hawthorn is undoubtedly an outstanding medicinal plant, and preparations made from its leaves and flowers have a long history of use. Hawthorn is traditionally used to support heart function.

Bericard is used to support cardiovascular function in cases of early-stage reduced cardiac output, with symptoms such as exhaustion and tiredness on exertion. The use of this traditional herbal medicine for the aforementioned indication is based solely on long-standing use.

Directions for use

• The recommended dose for adults is: 15 to 20 drops, 2–3 times a day.
• Use in children and adolescents As there is insufficient data available, use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age cannot be recommended.

Method of administration:

Bericard drops should be taken undiluted, on a sugar cube or diluted with a little water. The effect can be further enhanced by holding the drops in the mouth for a short while. Shake the bottle before use!

Ingredients

The active ingredient is: hawthorn leaves with flowers – liquid extract 100 g contain 24 g of quantified liquid extract from hawthorn leaves with flowers (herb-to-extract ratio 1:1; extraction solvent: ethanol 45% vol.). The other ingredients are: ethanol, propyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E216), methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (E218), sucrose and purified water. 1 ml = 0.99 g. 1 ml contains 0.27 g of ethanol. Alcohol content: 26.9% by weight = 32.7% by volume 1 ml is equivalent to approximately 20 drops.
