Atrac-Tain moisturising cream, 1 ST

Product information "Atrac-Tain moisturising cream"
Dry skin - a serious problem

  • Almost every diabetic (type 1 and type 2) suffers from skin problems. The most common of these is xerosis, also known as dry skin.
  • Restricted blood flow in small vessels leads to atrophy of the skin, hair loss, cold toes, nail dystrophy and skin dryness of any degree. A frequent late complication of diabetes, autonomic neuropathy, can lead to disorders of sweat production, peripheral erythema, oedema, atrophy and further drying of the skin. Fissures can develop in the untreated dry skin, with the risk of ulceration. If the foot is also exposed to increased pressure and friction, the risk of developing a foot ulcer increases.

Prevention of diabetic foot syndrome

  • It is important to prevent ulcers. Not only because they severely restrict the patient's well-being and cause discomfort, but especially because in the worst case they can lead to limb amputation.
  • Ulceration occurs when calluses and cracks in the skin increase. This situation can be prevented with a moisturising cream formulated for regular use on diabetic feet. Atrac-Tain® can therefore be used as an important addition to foot care, as the cream keeps the skin intact and at the same time prevents cracks and skin injuries.

Developed and improved on diabetic feet.

  • Atrac-Tain® was developed for diabetic patients and has been proven to be effective in preventing and treating diabetic foot complications. The safe and effective use of the cream has been demonstrated as follows.
  • Studies prove the effectiveness of Atrac-Tain®.

Nourishes and moisturises the skin.

  • Atrac-Tain® contains 10% urea and 4% lactic acid (2-hydroxypropanoic acid). Both are natural moisturisers of the skin. Urea is a skin moisturiser that penetrates the outer layers of the stratum corneum and binds moisture there. Lactic acid stimulates the desquamation of the epidermis. Desquamation stimulates the skin to regrow, giving it a smooth, renewed appearance. Urea and lactic acid increase the moisture content in the stratum corneum. Together, the two moisturisers restore the skin's moisture and elasticity from within without clogging the pores.
  • Atrac-Tain® contains no preservatives, colourants or perfume, thus minimising the risk of allergic reactions on sensitive diabetic skin.

How to use
  • At the start of treatment, massage a thin layer of cream into the skin two to three times a day. Once the skin has healed, once daily treatment is sufficient to keep the skin elastic and strong. Do not apply Atrac-Tain® between the toes.
