Askina® SilNet is a transparent, hypoallergenic wound dressing which, thanks to its silicone coating, does not stick to the wound and allows the wound exudate to pass through into the secondary dressing.
The longer retention time of Askina® SilNet on the wound ensures that the wound healing process is not disturbed and an optimal wound climate is maintained, despite regular changes of the secondary dressing. Askina® SilNet can securely and gently hold the transplanted tissue in place over a longer period of time, particularly in the case of skin grafts. Thanks to the very good exudate management and the avoidance of wound trauma during dressing changes, both the transplanted tissue and the donor site can grow optimally.
Silicone adhesion technology
Askina® SilNet is coated with a soft silicone adhesive surface. The wound dressing therefore adheres gently and securely. The silicone used adapts optimally to the uneven skin surface and thus forms a larger contact surface to the skin compared to traditional adhesive bases.

Dosage form

Application
- Remove the transparent protective film before applying to the wound
- Apply Askina® SilNet to the wound and remove the transparent backing film
- Application of a suitable secondary dressing, e.g. Askina® Foam
- Vertical passage of the wound exudate through the porous structure of Askina® SilNet into the absorbent dressing
