Directions for use
The number of bottles and feeding amounts are guidelines and may vary from child to child. You will need 30 ml of water for 1 measuring spoon of powder. A level measuring spoon holds 4.7 g.
Preparation:
When preparing Aptamil® HA 1, follow the instructions for use carefully. Incorrect preparation and storage may lead to health problems caused by the growth of unwanted bacteria. Prepare the formula fresh before each feed and feed it immediately. Do not reuse any leftover formula. Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly. Do not heat the formula in the microwave (risk of overheating).
- Allow fresh, boiled drinking water to cool and use it at a temperature of no more than 40°C. Pour 2/3 of the required amount of water into the bottle.
- To measure out the powder accurately, level off the enclosed measuring spoon using the scraper. Use only the enclosed measuring spoon.
- Add the required amount of powder to the bottle. Store the measuring spoon in the spoon holder.
- Close the bottle and shake vigorously in an upright position for approx. 10 seconds, then add the remaining drinking water and shake vigorously again.
- Open the bottle and attach the teat. Check that the contents of the bottle are at drinking temperature (approx. 37°C).
