Aptamil Comfort Special Formula Powder is a food for special medical purposes (balanced diet) for dietary management of three-month colic, wind and constipation.

Aptamil Comfort for special nutritional needs: The special formula of Aptamil Comfort contains GOS/FOS, hydrolysed protein, beta-palmitate and less lactose than conventional infant and follow-on formulae. This makes it suitable for three-month colic, wind and constipation.

Directions for use

When preparing the formula, ensure you use the correct dosage ratio as shown in the table. The number of vials and the amount to be consumed are guide values and may vary from child to child. The measuring spoon provided holds 4.6 g of Aptamil Comfort when leveled off.

Preparation:

When preparing Aptamil Comfort, follow the instructions for use carefully. Incorrect preparation and storage may lead to health risks due to the growth of unwanted bacteria. Prepare the formula fresh for each feed and serve immediately. Do not reuse any leftover formula. Clean the bottle, teat and ring thoroughly. Do not heat the formula in the microwave (risk of overheating).

1. Wash your hands thoroughly. Allow fresh, boiled drinking water to cool to approx. 40°C and pour 2/3 of the required amount of water, as per the dosage table, into the bottle.
2. Use only the measuring spoon supplied with this pack. Level off a full measuring spoon using the built-in level.
3. Add the required amount of powder (= number of measuring spoons as per the dosage table) to the bottle.
4. Close the bottle and shake vigorously up and down for 10 seconds. Add the remaining water and shake the contents of the bottle vigorously once more.
5. Open the bottle and attach the teat. Check that the contents of the bottle are at drinking temperature (approx. 37°C).

Important information:

• Feeding: Breastfeeding is best for your baby. Please speak to your maternity unit or paediatrician if you wish to use Aptamil Comfort.
• Instructions for use: Please only use Aptamil Comfort under medical supervision. Aptamil Comfort is suitable for the exclusive feeding of infants from birth. Aptamil Comfort must not be used if your baby already has, or is suspected of having, a cow’s milk protein allergy. The symptoms should subside after a few days. If this is not the case, please contact your paediatrician again. 
• Dental health: All infant formulas contain carbohydrates. Frequent contact with carbohydrate-containing foods can cause tooth decay. Do not leave your child with a bottle to suck on continuously.
