Coenzyme Q10 is also called ubiquinone because it is found everywhere (ubiquitously) in the plant and animal organism. It is partly absorbed through food, but is also produced in the body itself. Coenzyme Q10 plays a key role in the formation of cellular energy in the mitochondria, the power stations in our body cells.
