Apozema® Allergie Acidum formicicum complex No. 2 drops are a homeopathic medicinal product for the treatment of allergy-related conditions such as hay fever, allergic rashes and itching.

Homeopathy is regarded as a regulatory therapy for acute and chronic conditions. APOZEMA Allergy Acidum formicicum complex No. 2 drops are a homeopathic combination remedy comprising various individual homeopathic remedies whose medicinal profiles complement one another.

Indications

The indications are derived from the homeopathic remedy profiles. The following indications are authorised for this medicine:

• Allergy-related conditions such as hay fever, allergic skin rashes and itching.

The use of this homeopathic medicine for the indicated indications is based solely on homeopathic experience. In severe forms of these conditions, clinically proven treatment is indicated. This medicine is intended for use in adults, adolescents and children aged 3 years and over. If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Properties of the ingredients

• Acidum formicicum (formic acid) has, among other things, a medicinal picture characterised by urticaria with itching on the body and limbs – in other words, the overall picture of allergic diathesis.
• Apis mellifica (honey bee) is used as a remedy for allergies. Furthermore, a key aspect of its medicinal profile is an itchy urticaria rash, as well as swollen mucous membranes in the nose, eyes and throat. A stinging itch is characteristic.
• Arsenicum album (white arsenic) is used, amongst other things, for inflammatory, itchy conditions affecting the skin and mucous membranes. Itchy, burning eyes and nose indicate an allergic reaction.
• Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni ( oyster shell lime) is a remedy for inflammatory conditions of the skin and mucous membranes.
• Graphites (graphite) primarily affects the skin and mucous membranes. This explains its effectiveness in cases of allergic or secondary rhinitis.
• Natrium muriaticum (common salt) is primarily a remedy for metabolic disorders. Its primary sites of action are the skin and mucous membranes. Despite profuse tearing, the eyes feel dry, scratchy and itchy.
• Rhus toxicodendron (poison sumac) primarily affects the skin. Scarlet-like, itchy rashes and catarrhal inflammation of the conjunctiva with swollen eyelids are part of the remedy’s picture.
• Sulfur ( sulphur bloom) has a broad spectrum of symptoms. Itchy skin, a feeling of tightness when breathing, and burning, itchy eyes are typical signs of allergies.

Directions for use

• Young people aged 12 and over and adults: At the onset of symptoms, 21 drops every half hour to hourly, up to a maximum of 8 times a day; once improvement begins, up to 4 times a day.
• Children aged 6 to 12 years: At the onset of symptoms, 7 drops diluted in a little water every half hour to hourly, up to a maximum of 6 times a day; once improvement begins, up to 3 times a day.
• Children aged 3 to 6 years: At the onset of symptoms, take 7 drops diluted in a little water every half hour to hourly, up to a maximum of 3 times a day; once improvement begins, reduce to up to 2 times a day.
• Method of administration: For oral use. Spread the drops over the surrounding oral mucosa using the tongue. Reduce the frequency of administration as symptoms improve.
• Duration of use: If you do not feel better or actually feel worse after 7 days, consult your doctor.

Ingredients

• The active ingredients are: 100 g (equivalent to 107.5 ml) contain: Acidum formicicum Dil. D6 2.0 g; Apis mellifica Dil. D30 2.0 g; Acidum arsenicosum Dil. D12 2.0 g; Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni Dil. D8 2.0 g; Graphites Dil. D8 2.0 g; Natrium chloratum Dil. D6 2.0 g; Rhus toxicodendron Dil. D12 2.0 g and Sulphur Dil. D30 2.0 g.
• The other ingredients are: ethanol 96% (alcohol), purified water, traces of lactose monohydrate.
• Total ethanol content approx. 43% by weight; 1 g = approx. 49 drops.
