Anthozym Petrasch Alcohol-Free Tonic is a food supplement containing beetroot extract, dextrorotatory lactic acid, minerals and vitamins.
ANTHOZYM is a finely balanced blend of ingredients whose effects complement and support one another.
- Iron contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin.
- Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
- Magnesium helps reduce tiredness and fatigue.
Effects of the ingredients
Beetroot
Beetroot is a particularly nutritious and healthy vegetable. The red pigments (betacyanins and betalains) are natural antioxidants. They are credited with the many beneficial effects of beetroot.
A number of studies have shown the positive effects of beetroot, in particular:
- Cyclists who had consumed beetroot juice completed a 4 km course 11 seconds faster than a control group, according to a study by the University of Exeter reported in *Ärztezeitung*.
- A meta-analysis by Florida State University concludes: “Most studies have shown that beetroot juice or its components increase the number of repetitions and strength, and prolong the time to exhaustion.”
- A meta-analysis comparing 16 studies found that beetroot and inorganic nitrates have a significant blood pressure-lowering effect.
Lactic acid
- Lactic acid is one of the fruit acids. From a chemical perspective, lactic acid exists in both a dextrorotatory and a levorotatory form. Dextrorotatory lactic acid (RMS) possesses positive and desirable properties. RMS is a key component of ANTHOZYM’s active ingredient system, but it is also available in its pure form as a dietary supplement in drop and capsule form, as well as a soothing rub to improve skin balance.
Iron
- Iron is an essential trace element, particularly for blood formation. In ANTHOZYM, iron is present as iron L(+)-lactate. This is produced in a proprietary process with the aid of RMS. The vitamin C present in ANTHOZYM further enhances iron absorption. Iron contributes to the normal function of the immune system and also helps to reduce tiredness and fatigue. Furthermore ,iron contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body and to the normal formation of red blood cells.
Vitamin C
- Vitamin C is an essential vitamin for humans, playing a role in many important physiological processes. Vitamin C can improve iron absorption and thus help prevent a potential iron deficiency. This can improve the blood’s capacity to transport oxygen.
VitaminB12
- Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells and to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Magnesium
- Magnesium contributes to normal energy metabolism. It also contributes to normal muscle function, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
Potassium
- Potassium plays an important role in regulating the cell’s water and electrolyte balance and helps maintain normal blood pressure.

Directions for use
- 30 ml (= 1 measuring cup) once a day after a meal.
- Notes: Start with half the recommended daily dose (half a measuring cup, 15 ml) and monitor how your body reacts over 2–3 days. If you do not experience any adverse effects, increase to the normal recommended daily dose (30 ml).
