AmmoLa smelling sticks can be used to support therapy as part of skills training for stress tolerance in dialectical behavioural therapy.
Skills are human abilities that every patient needs and utilises in order to cope and succeed in their private and professional lives. For this purpose, there are "aids", such as AmmoLa odour sticks, which appeal to the patient concerned.
Aromatised ammonia is a colourless, pungent-smelling gas that was used in the past to treat mood disorders. Inhaling the vapours causes a strong irritation in the nose.
Dosage form

How to use
- Break open the AmmoLa ampoule and hold the breakage point downwards briefly to empty. The liquid is absorbed by the coating. Hold the ampoule under your nose to inhale.
- During practical use, a strong stimulus is triggered by smelling the AmmoLa smelling stick, which supports the control of dissociative states.
