Dry and rough skin

Dry and rough skin is a common skin problem characterised by a lack of moisture and lipids. This deficiency causes the skin to lose its elasticity and suppleness. As a result, the skin can become rough, flaky and cracked. These skin conditions are not only unpleasant but can also lead to further skin problems such as inflammation and infections, as the protective function of the skin barrier is compromised.

The skin barrier, which normally prevents moisture from escaping and harmful substances from penetrating the skin, can be weakened by various factors. These include environmental influences such as cold, wind and dry air, as well as frequent washing and contact with harsh cleansers. When the skin barrier is damaged, gaps form in the skin’s lipid film. These gaps cause moisture to be lost, making the skin even drier.

The Allpresan Derma med HYDRO INTENSIVE CARE Repair Foam Cream has been specially developed to intensively supply dry and rough skin with lipids and moisture, bringing about a lasting improvement in the skin’s condition. It provides deep-acting hydration, repairs the skin barrier and protects against further drying out.

This foam cream is particularly suitable for use all over the body and offers a comprehensive solution for skin lacking in elasticity and suppleness. It contains biomimetic lipids, which have been proven to seal the gaps in the lipid film of dry skin. The skin barrier is repaired, thereby counteracting further moisture loss.

Active ingredients

• Biomimetic lipids: Skin-like lipids have structural properties similar to those found in the skin. Like natural barrier lipids, they arrange themselves into the typical, very compact lipid bilayers. As a result, they fit into the gaps in the lipid film of dry skin like perfectly matching jigsaw pieces, thereby repairing the skin barrier.
• Panthenol: Dexpanthenol (INCI: PANTHENOL) is a precursor to a B vitamin and is also known as provitamin B5. Panthenol has a soothing, nourishing and moisturising effect on the skin and supports the wound-healing process. It is frequently used for the treatment of skin and mucous membranes, as well as for the treatment of superficial wounds.
• 8 % urea: 8 % urea provides intensive moisturisation and is therefore ideal for the daily care of stressed areas of skin such as the hands, feet or elbows.

Directions for use

Ideally, Allpresan Repair Foam Cream should be applied twice daily (morning and evening) or as required to very dry, rough areas of skin to provide optimal care. Thanks to Allpresan Skin Repair Technology, the foam cream goes a long way – a small amount is sufficient for larger areas of skin. Allpresan Repair Foam Cream is very gentle to apply, absorbs quickly and is non-greasy, so you can put your clothes back on straight away. The product is for external use only. Please shake the foam cream can well before use and hold it upright when dispensing. Before first use, you should unlock the tamper-evident seal on the back of the foam head.
