Mild cleansing for sensitive skin with neurodermatitis

Allpresan Derma med ATOPIX SHOWER Shower Foam offers gentle and moisturising cleansing for sensitive, irritated, itchy and reddened skin without drying it out. Specially developed for people with neurodermatitis, the foam gently cleanses the skin and supports the natural skin barrier. Biomimetic (skin-related) lipids close the gaps in the lipid film of very dry skin, which protects against further dehydration and relieves itching. Glycerine also moisturises the skin, while almond and jojoba oil have moisturising and soothing properties and leave the skin feeling supple.

What is atopic dermatitis?

Neurodermatitis, also known as atopic dermatitis, is a chronic skin disease characterised by severe itching, dryness and inflammation. This disease occurs in phases, whereby acute phases can be triggered by factors such as stress, allergens or temperature changes.

Supports the skin's natural protective function

The disruption of the skin barrier that underlies atopic dermatitis leads to increased moisture loss and increased sensitivity to external influences. A mild and moisturising cleanser such as Allpresan Derma med ATOPIX SHOWER Shower Foam is therefore essential to prevent further irritation or drying out of the skin. Thanks to the gentle foam formula, the product cleanses gently, moisturises and helps to protect the skin barrier. Glycerine and moisturising oils such as almond and jojoba oil provide additional care to keep the skin soft and supple.

Active ingredients

• Biomimetic lipids: Skin-related lipids have similar structural properties to the lipids found in the skin. Like natural barrier lipids, they arrange themselves in the typical, very compact lipid bilayers. As a result, they fit into the gaps in the lipid film of dry skin like perfectly fitting puzzle pieces and can thus repair the skin barrier.
• Glycerin: Glycerin is a natural component of the skin's Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF). As a natural moisturising factor, it is particularly well tolerated. Glycerin binds moisture and thus improves skin elasticity and stabilises the skin's barrier function.
• Almond oil: Almond oil is known for its good tolerability. It contains many unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic and linoleic acid. Almond oil makes the skin supple as the skin's natural moisture can be retained. It has a soothing and moisturising effect. Skin elasticity is increased.
• Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is obtained from the brown seeds of the jojoba bush. Strictly speaking, jojoba oil is not an oil but a liquid wax. It contains a lot of provitamin A and vitamin E and makes the skin smooth and supple. Due to its long-chain esters, the active ingredient mixes excellently with human sebum and forms a light lipid film that binds moisture in the skin.

How to use

Ideally, Allpresan Shower Foam should be applied to moistened skin daily or as required and rinsed off thoroughly. Thanks to the Allpresan foam texture, it is particularly economical - a small amount is sufficient for larger areas of skin. The product is only suitable for external use on the face and body. Avoid contact with eyes. Please shake the can well before use and hold it upright when removing. Before first use, the tamper-evident seal on the back of the foam head should be unlocked.
