Algofina 10% Spray is a medicinal product containing the active ingredient diethylamine salicylate. This belongs to the group of substances known as salicylates and is a salt of salicylic acid with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Algofina is for external use only. After being sprayed onto the skin, the active ingredient penetrates the affected tissue and acts at the site of the inflammation. Pain, swelling, redness and tenderness are relieved, and the restoration of normal function is accelerated. Only small amounts of diethylamine salicylate are absorbed into the bloodstream.

Algofina is used in adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and over) for:

the local treatment of pain and swelling following blunt injuries to muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons (such as sprains, strains and bruises),
muscle tension andlumbago.

If you do not feel any better – or indeed feel worse – after 14 days, consult your doctor.

Directions for use

Algofina is intended for topical application on the skin in adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and over). The recommended dose is 2 to 3 times a day, 2–4 sprays each time – depending on the size of the painful area to be treated.
Method of use: Spray as precisely as possible onto the affected area from a distance of about 15 cm until it is covered. After application, allow the spray to dry for a few minutes before covering or bandaging the treated area. Wash your hands after spraying Algofina, unless the affected areas are on your hands.
Duration of use: The duration of use depends on how long the symptoms last. If you do not feel any better, or if your condition worsens, after 14 days, consult your doctor, particularly if you experience persistent pain and swelling.

Ingredients

What Algofina contains: The active ingredient is diethylamine salicylate. 100 g of solution contain 10 g of diethylamine salicylate, corresponding to 6.54 g of salicylate.
One spray contains 6.8 mg of salicylate.
The other ingredients are 2-propanol, levomenthol, mountain pine oil, glycerine, purified water.
