Acetocaustin® Wart Removal Solution, 2 ML

Acetocaustin® wart treatment solution offers targeted treatment for common warts. The active ingredient, monochloroacetic acid, is applied to the affected skin just once a week.

Acetocaustin is highly effective due to its active ingredient (monochloroacetic acid). In contrast to the cell-destroying effect of Acetocaustin, the so-called keratolytic agents in other wart treatments, such as salicylic acid, merely break down the bonds between the cells themselves, but do not destroy the cells themselves. In cryotherapy, liquid nitrogen is used to create a blister in the layer of skin beneath the wart, similar to a burn blister. This lifts the wart away from its base. As with surgical procedures, this is usually associated with pain.

How it works

Acetocaustin wart treatment contains monochloroacetic acid, a substance that has a keratolytic (skin-softening) effect on the skin. It dissolves the wart layer by layer and destroys the cells containing the wart virus.

Directions for use

• To be applied by an adult.
• Use only on the hands and feet! Do not apply the product to other parts of the body!
• Rub Vaseline or zinc ointment into the surrounding skin to protect it!
• Place the bottle on a firm surface that is resistant to the corrosive solution.
• When applying, dab the wart just once and do so only once a week.
• Ensure the solution only comes into contact with the wart. Avoid contact with healthy skin.
• Allow the solution to dry thoroughly after application.
• Do not cover the wart.
• Results are visible after 1 week.
