How it works

• The Acetocaustin wart removal plaster is a medical device for the treatment of warts and plantar warts.
• The wart plaster contains 40% salicylic acid, a substance that has a keratolytic effect on the skin. It dissolves the wart layer by layer. Salicylic acid ensures that the cells containing the wart virus are destroyed.
• The advantage of the Acetocaustin wart plaster is that applying it directly to the wart does not hurt, meaning the product is also suitable for young children, provided it is applied correctly by an adult.

Dosage form

Patches (20 patches – Acetocaustin wart patches consist of moleskin fabric that is completely coated with an adhesive substrate containing 40% salicylic acid.)

Directions for use

• Soak the wart in warm water for 5 minutes before use.
• Clean and dry the skin before application and ensure that the affected area is free from creams and oils.
• Take a wart plaster and remove the protective film from the back without touching the adhesive side.
• Apply the wart plaster to the wart so that its centre, with the salicylic acid core, lies directly on the wart. Smooth down the edges.
• Leave the patch in place until it begins to peel off. Remove the patch after 48 hours at the latest.
• Soak the affected area in warm water for 5 minutes before removing the loosened skin.
• Repeat this process as needed for up to 14 days.
