- Properties: A colourless to pale yellow oil with a warm, spicy-sweet fragrance reminiscent of liquorice.
- Areas of application: Stimulating for the whole organism, but at the same time calming for tension. The antiseptic properties of the oil are used in the cosmetics industry. Aniseed masks bad odours or a bad taste, which is why aniseed oil is often used in the pharmaceutical industry to mask an unpleasant taste.
