How does ADAPTIL® Calm work?
Mother dogs communicate with their puppies via a natural pheromone released into the air: ‘calming messages’, known scientifically as Dog Appeasing Pheromones. This odourless pheromone can only be detected by dogs and not by other animal species or humans. These ‘calming messages’ give dogs of all ages a strong sense of security and comfort. ADAPTIL® Calm emits these “calming messages” to help your dog feel safe and at ease in stressful situations.
The calming effect of ADAPTIL® Calm is scientifically proven.
Use ADAPTIL® Calm to help dogs:
- To be more composed in anxiety-inducing situations (fireworks, thunderstorms)
- To feel confident in their new home
- To feel comfortable at home even when left alone
- Adapt to a new environment (moving house, a new family member or pet)
Dosage form
Set – vaporiser + 48 ml bottle
Directions for use
- Screw the bottle into the diffuser and plug it into the socket. Leave the plug-in diffuser plugged in for 30 days. The diffuser should be placed in the room where the dog spends most of its time. Each diffuser covers a living area of up to 70 m².
- Notes: The use of the ADAPTIL® Calm diffuser is not recommended in cases of hyperactivity or aggression. Pheromones can be used alongside veterinary medicines. They are suitable for dogs of all ages. The ADAPTIL® Calm diffuser must be left plugged in at all times. The vials can be replaced every month by purchasing an ADAPTIL® Calm refill vial. Each ADAPTIL® Calm vial has a peel-off sticker to remind you when to replace your ADAPTIL® Calm vial.
- Warning: Do not plug in: underneath an electrical appliance; under furniture, behind doors, curtains or under objects attached to a wall (e.g. a shelf); into a multi-socket socket or extension lead.
