3M™ Tegaderm™ Transparent Film Dressing with Application Frame is a sterile, water-vapour-permeable transparent film dressing.
3M™ Tegaderm™ Transparent Film Dressing can be used to cover and protect catheter insertion sites and wounds, to ensure an optimal moist environment for wound healing, and to secure medical devices to the skin.
Features
- Water-resistant, sterile protection: Protects the catheter insertion site or wound from external contaminants such as bacteria, viruses, blood and bodily fluids – In vitro tests demonstrate that the transparent film provides protection against viruses with a diameter of 27 nm or greater, provided the film dressing remains intact and free from leaks
- The breathable film allows oxygen to enter and water vapour to escape
- Adhesive-free tabs allow for precise and hassle-free application, reducing the risk of the dressing sticking to gloves or the material itself
- The transparent dressing allows for continuous visual monitoring of the catheter insertion site
- The dressing stretches with the skin, ensuring greater patient comfort
- Flexible and stretchy
- Can be worn for up to seven days
- Radiation-transparent. Tegaderm products can be safely left on the patient’s skin during radiotherapy. The dressing, which can be used with or without the 3M™ Cavilon™ Non-Irritating Skin Barrier Film (CNSBF), does not act as a bolus material.
- Can be used to maintain an optimal moist wound environment to support autolytic debridement
- Helps to prevent friction-related skin damage.
