Discover the 3M™ PROMOGRAN™ wound balancing matrix 28 cm². The unique combination of collagen and ORC actively promotes the healing of chronic wounds by optimising the wound environment and specifically supporting tissue formation.

3M™ PROMOGRAN™ is a sterile, freeze-dried protease-modulating matrix of 55% collagen and 45% ORC (oxidised regenerated cellulose) that promotes a moist wound healing environment, granulation and epithelialisation.

In the presence of exudate, the protease-modulating matrix of 3M™ PROMOGRAN™ forms a soft, conformable, absorbable gel. This allows contact with all areas of the wound.

3M™ PROMOGRAN™ Matrix modulates and influences the environment in the wound through the unique interaction of:

• Binding and deactivating proteases (i.e. metallo-matrix proteases, elastases and plasmin) whose excessive presence in chronic wounds has been shown to be detrimental
• Binding and protection of naturally occurring growth factors from degradation by excess proteases. These naturally occurring and protected growth factors are released back into the wound, while the healing-inhibiting proteases remain inactive after resorption of the 3M™ PROMOGRAN™ matrix
• 3M™ PROMOGRAN™ Matrix has the ability to deactivate free radicals
• 3M™ PROMOGRAN™ Matrix has proven haemostatic properties.
• 3M™ PROMOGRAN™ Matrix can be used under compression therapy.

Fields of application

3M™ PROMOGRAN™ Matrix is indicated for the treatment of all secondary healing wounds that are free of necrotic tissue, including

• Diabetic ulcers
• Venous ulcers
• Pressure ulcers
• Ulcers with various vascular causes
• Traumatic and surgical wounds
