3M™ Cavilon™ Non-Irritating Skin Protection – the original – is an alcohol-free skin protection film that dries quickly and forms a breathable, transparent protective film on the skin.
It has been developed to protect intact, damaged or ‘vulnerable skin’ from urine, faeces and bodily fluids, as well as from skin injuries caused by medical adhesives and friction. It provides protection for up to 72 hours and does not sting on irritated or damaged skin.

- Barrier against bodily fluids for optimised continence care
- Alcohol-free, does not sting, comfortable to use even on irritated and damaged skin
- Supports the healing process of irritated, damaged skin
- Quick-drying and non-sticky, for easy application and patient comfort
- Compatible with skin preparation products (e.g. chlorhexidine gluconate and povidone-iodine)
