remifemin plus St John's wort is a herbal medicinal product for the relief of menopausal symptoms (such as hot flushes, sweating), especially those with pronounced symptoms such as mood swings, nervousness, irritability and poor concentration.

This medicine is only used in adult menopausal women.

If you do not feel better or even worse after 6 weeks, consult your doctor.

Remifemin plus St John's wort is the only medicine on the Austrian market that contains a combination of black cohosh and St John's wort.

The St John's wort it contains not only improves the physical symptoms of the menopause, but also the accompanying psychological symptoms such as mood swings, nervousness and increased irritability. It is known that the medicinal plant St John's wort can influence the skin's sensitivity to light. However, the St John's wort extract used in Remifemin plus St John's wort only slightly changes the average sensitivity to light. This effect can already be compensated for by using a sunscreen with the next highest sun protection factor instead of the usual sunscreen.

Our tip: Use the stronger Remifemin plus St John's wort right from the start. This is the best way to get your symptoms under control.

How to use

Menopausal women: 1 film-coated tablet twice daily (morning and evening), 2 film-coated tablets twice daily if required.
Children, adolescents and men: There is no indication for remifemin plus St John's wort in children and adolescents under the age of 18 or in men.
Route of administration: To be taken whole with sufficient liquid.
Duration of use: remifemin plus St. John's wort does not work immediately, the effect is noticeable after 2 weeks of treatment. If your symptoms worsen or if there is no improvement after 6 weeks of taking the product, you should consult a doctor. To avoid overlooking other illnesses, you should always consult a doctor at least every 6 months.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are: 1 film-coated tablet contains 70 mg dry extract of St. John's wort (Hyperici herba), DEV (drug-extract ratio) 3.5 - 6 : 1, extractant: ethanol 60 % (V/V) and 3.75 mg dry extract of cimicifuga rhizoma (Cimicifuga rhizoma, black cohosh rhizome), DEV 6 - 11 : 1, extractant: propan-2-ol 40 % (V/V).
The other ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, glycerol dibehenate, highly dispersed silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, lactose, polyvinyl alcohol, soya lecithin, xanthan gum, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), iron(III) oxide yellow (E 172), indigotine varnish (E 132).
