preval ONYX is a nail balm for brittle and dry nails. The chitosan contained in preval ONYX binds with the keratin in the nail plate, forming a protective layer against external factors such as nail varnish and the particularly drying effect of nail varnish removers. Panthenol and phytantriol increase the moisture content of the nail, thereby ensuring greater elasticity.

After 4–6 weeks of using preval ONYX, your nails will be elastic, shiny and resilient once again.

Healthy fingernails have a slightly glossy, smooth surface, a gentle curve and a pale pink colour. However, they also have to withstand a fair amount of wear and tear in everyday life. Frequent contact with water and degreasing washing-up liquids and cleaning products can take their toll even on strong nails and cause lasting damage to the cohesion of the keratin cells that make up the nail plate.

preval ONYX protects and nourishes dry, splitting and brittle nails, giving them a well-groomed appearance:

preval ONYX contains the three active ingredients mentioned – panthenol, phytantriol and chitosan – in an aqueous solution, which enables a film to form rapidly on the nail plate. From this layer, panthenol and phytantriol penetrate the nail plate to a greater extent. The chitosan film applied to the nail plate also prevents the cuticle from spreading across the nail plate. This is of great importance because pushing back the cuticle on the nail plate during nail care often leads to injury to the cuticle, which can result in unsightly colour changes as the nail regrows.

Directions for use

Apply preval ONYX to the nail plate and cuticles daily, in the morning and evening, and allow to dry briefly. Once the product has evaporated, a protective film forms on the nail plate which cannot be removed by water or common solvents. This helps to reduce nail brittleness and fragility. The nail and cuticles are protected from drying out. Washing your hands does not affect the protective film. preval ONYX gives the nail a natural, matt, silky sheen. Nail varnish can be applied to nails treated with preval ONYX without any problems.
