How the glycerine mini-enema works
- Provides a lubricating effect in the intestinal tract and facilitates the passage of faeces.

How the Glycerine Mini-Enema works

The mechanism of action is ensured by the properties of the highly concentrated glycerine solution . Following rectal administration , the hyperosmotic solution draws water from the tissues and mucous membranes of the large bowel , thereby increasing the volume of the bowel contents. This leads to relaxation of the bowel walls, resulting in gentle and effortless emptying through an almost normal process.

Method of use
- Administration should be carried out by an adult whilst the child is lying on their stomach. Remove the cap from the tube before use. Lubricate the tip of the tube with a few drops of the mini enema and then carefully insert it through the anus into the rectum; for children under 6 years of age, the tube should be inserted halfway.
- By squeezing the flexible tube, the contents are slowly and easily squeezed into the rectum until it has emptied. Remove the mini enema whilst continuing to squeeze the tube, then dispose of it. In most cases, the effect is immediate or occurs after 10–15 minutes.
- For children under 6 years of age: When the urge to pass stools occurs, you should sit your child on the potty or on the toilet. The product is intended for single use only.
- When using on children under 2 years of age: consult your paediatrician first.
- The mini enema has been designed as a single-use product for simple and risk-free administration. These glycerine mini enemas are only an aid as part of a hygienic and dietary treatment programme. To normalise bowel function, supplement your child’s diet with fibre and fluids, and encourage them to be physically active.
Dosage:
Glycerine mini-enemas for children: The recommended dose is 1 mini-enema per day, or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
