- A urinary infection is an inflammation of the urinary tract and is usually caused by bacteria. Men, women and children can suffer from urinary tract infections. Women are particularly affected, as are older men if an enlarged prostate disrupts the flow of urine.
- Symptoms are not always present initially and depend on whether the lower or upper urinary tract is affected. Early detection prevents the bacteria from ascending and the development of pyelonephritis with severe pain and high fever.

Application
- To perform the test, you need the (morning) urine, which is collected in a container. Dip the test strip into the collected urine for approx. 2 seconds and read the result after a waiting time of 60 seconds.
- The test consists of three test fields, which indicate the presence of leucocytes, proteins or nitrites in your urine by changing colour.
