Turmeric is a turmeric extract and is known as an essential component of curry mixtures and has been part of Ayurveda and a healthy diet in Asia for centuries.

The curcumin (diferuloylmethane) contained in ImmunoMax® CurcumaNova is the colouring component of the turmeric plant.

Curcumin as a secondary plant substance is increasingly becoming the focus of leading

leading universities in view of its importance for a healthy diet and its broad spectrum of anti-oxidative properties.

Curcumin is only absorbed by the body in very small quantities. Bioavailability is therefore important. However, there is one major obstacle: curcumin only reaches very low concentrations in the body, even after large quantities have been ingested, and is therefore extremely poorly absorbed.

However, one of the most important properties of modern dietary supplements is precisely the absorption property - resulting in the so-called

"bioavailability", i.e. the degree to which a substance is actually absorbed by the body and is therefore available.

Without good absorption, the effectiveness of the respective substance is

substance is greatly reduced and most of it leaves the body unused.

The curcumin contained in ImmunoMax® CurcumaNova

Curcumin is embedded in micelles (small "bubbles"), which are more easily absorbed by the body without the active ingredients being chemically altered.

Instead, the patented process creates a structure of these active ingredients that is analogous to nature, with the result that the bioavailability is approx.

180 times higher than conventional curcumin powder, accompanied by approx. 7 times faster absorption in the organism. One capsule therefore provides

curcumin as approx. 8 grams of conventional curcumin powder.

The development of the higher bioavailability of curcumin was carried out at the University of Hohenheim in a research project funded by the German government.
