Support for your brain
We all want to stay mentally fit and active – ideally well into old age. Particularly in our professional lives, we want to work with focus and perform at our best. But mental fitness also makes everyday life much easier in our private lives: Remembering names and faces, keeping track of birthdays or having lively conversations – all this places considerable demands on our brains. To keep our minds sharp, the key lies in a balanced diet, sufficient exercise and constantly providing new mental stimulation. It’s hard enough to fit an exercise routine into a busy week; an even greater challenge, however, is keeping track of the nutritional content of the food we eat around the clock to ensure an adequate supply of all the essential nutrients. Thanks to memoLoges®, fluctuations in the intake of selected B vitamins and folic acid are balanced out, and the body is supplied with the essential trace element zinc. It also contains two valuable plant extracts – Bacopa monnieri and Sideritis scardica – which are perfectly complementary.
Ingredients
- Indian Brahmi: Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is also known as ‘small fat leaf’ due to its small, fleshy foliage. This perennial herbaceous plant from the Scrophulariaceae family, with white or pale purple flowers and rich dark green leaves, reaches a maximum height of 15 cm. It is native to South and South-East Asia, particularly India, where it is usually found on damp ground near water.
- Vitamin B5 – Maintenance of key metabolic functions: Pantothenic acid is involved in the breakdown of fats, carbohydrates and amino acids. In addition to foods rich in pantothenic acid, dietary supplements containing pantothenic acid can also help ensure an adequate intake.
- Vitamin B6 – The vitamin for protein metabolism: Vitamin B6 is primarily involved in the metabolism of amino acids and supports important functions of the nervous and immune systems. In addition to foods rich in vitamin B6, dietary supplements containing vitamin B6 can also help ensure an adequate intake.
- Vitamin B9 (folic acid) – An important vitamin for cell division: The synthetically produced form of the vitamin folate is known as ‘folic acid’. Folate fulfils various functions in human metabolism. It is involved in cell division and DNA synthesis, and supports the action of the B vitamins. In addition to foods rich in folate, dietary supplements containing folic acid can also help ensure an adequate intake.
- Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) fulfils many important functions in metabolism. It plays a vital role in energy metabolism and supports the nervous system. Vitamin B12 intake can be particularly critical for vegans and older people. In addition to animal-based foods rich in vitamin B12, dietary supplements can also help ensure an adequate intake.
- Zinc – supports numerous metabolic functions*: Zinc is one of the most important essential trace elements for the human body. It plays a crucial role in the functioning of many metabolic processes.* The recommended intake can usually be met through a balanced diet, particularly one that includes animal-based foods. Nevertheless, around 20–30% of Central Europeans have an insufficient intake. *Zinc contributes to the normal metabolism of macronutrients; zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system; zinc plays a role in cell division.
1Pantothenic acidcontributes to the normal synthesis of neurotransmitters and to normal mental performance. Vitamins B6, B12 and folate contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells. Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal functioning of the immune and nervous systems. Folate contributes to normal blood formation. Folate plays a role in cell division. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy metabolism and the normal functioning of the nervous system. Zinc contributes to normal cognitive function.
