Function of the stomach

• In the stomach, food is stored, ground, mixed with gastric juice and partially digested. The stomach produces approx. 3-4 litres of gastric juice per day, which contains gastric acid, enzymes for protein and fat digestion and other substances. The gastric acid lowers the pH value of the stomach and thus contributes to the denaturation of food proteins and has a bactericidal effect. The fats contained in the food are already emulsified in the stomach.
• How long the food remains in the stomach depends on its composition - the higher the proportion of protein and fat in the meal, the longer it remains in the stomach. Solid food remains in the stomach until the food particles have a diameter of less than 1 mm. Only then is the chyme passed on to the small intestine.
• High-fat meals, too much food or unfamiliar food when travelling can lead to discomfort in the stomach. Essential oils from herbs traditionally used to support digestion can promote well-being.

How to use

• Up to 20 drops pure, in water or tea or on a piece of bread 2-3 times a day.
• Advice: Not suitable for pregnant women. Shake well before use. Not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Keep refrigerated after opening.
