anatis Organic Mate Tea is a crushed herbal tea that has been dried without smoke.

Mate is the sacred plant of the Guaraní, an indigenous people native to several South American countries. Mate tea is even more popular than coffee on the continent of coffee. Its mateine is a very mild form of caffeine that offers the same benefits as coffee, whilst mitigating its drawbacks. Mate is a good electrolyte drink, which is important when you’re sweating a lot. In its countries of origin, it is drunk almost ritually, from a calabash gourd and on every occasion.

Directions for use

For ½ litre, allow 1 tablespoon of mate to soak in a little cold water, then pour over hot water at 70° to 95° Celsius (do not boil!). Can be re-infused several times.
