anatis Auricularia Mushroom Organic Capsules is a food supplement made from the Auricularia auricula mushroom.
In Asia, Auricularia auricula is known as Mu-Err, Black fundus, Chinese morel or cloud ear mushroom. Popular in South-East Asia, yet also native to our region, the edible Auricularia mushroom has been in use for over 1,500 years and has become an integral part of Asian cuisine. However, Auricularia also has a long tradition as a dietary supplement.
Auricularia prefers to grow on old elderberry branches, which has earned it the name ‘elderberry mushroom’ or ‘Judas’s ear’. This name refers to its ear-shaped form and to the legend that Judas is said to have hanged himself from an elder tree after Jesus’s condemnation. Today, organic Auricularia is cultivated indoors on growth media and is therefore unaffected by environmental factors.
