Zilcalm® Powder is a dietary supplement for dogs and cats designed to help manage stress and anxiety and to maintain a relaxed state of mind.

Both dogs and cats often react particularly sensitively to sudden changes in their environment. From holidays, house moves or new family members to New Year’s Eve fireworks, there are a wide variety of triggers that can cause a pet to become stressed. Outwardly, the signs of stress are similar in both species. Typical symptoms include, for example, excessive hair loss and increased scratching, changes in behaviour and eating or drinking habits, or even sudden problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
Zilcalm® helps both dogs and cats in stressful situations thanks to its natural blend of ingredients. The milk protein hydrolysate it contains – a peptide (alpha-casozepine) derived from milk protein – makes it possible to calm the animal naturally without sedating it. Furthermore, its effectiveness has been clinically proven and no side effects have been observed.
Zilcalm® is suitable both for continuous, long-term use and for short-term, situation-specific support ahead of stressful events, such as a house move, a visit to the vet, or New Year’s Eve.
The product is formulated with physiological consistency in mind and therefore also contains ingredients to support brain function and the nervous system, promoting a balanced disposition. Zilcalm® also strengthens the immune system and promotes gastrointestinal health, as these systems also require support when under stress.
The main ingredients contained in Zilcalm® help the animal cope with anxiety and stress:
- Milk protein hydrolysate: a peptide (alpha-casozepine) derived from milk protein, which helps to calm the animal naturally without sedating it
- Ashwagandha: a medicinal plant that helps the animal cope with physical and mental stress
- L-tryptophan: an amino acid which, in synergy with the milk protein hydrolysate, stimulates serotonin production – improving alertness and mood, whilst reducing aggression and stress
- Omega-3 fatty acids: reduce anxiety and support brain health
- Vitamins B6 & B12: support cognitive function and the nervous system
- Vitamin E: an antioxidant; increased requirements in stressful situations
- Magnesium: increased requirement in stressful situations; a magnesium deficiency can lead to increased susceptibility to stress
- Prebiotics & postbiotics: to support the microbiome (healthy gastrointestinal function contributes to general well-being)
