Zilcalm® chewable tablets are a supplementary feed for dogs to help them cope with stress and anxiety and to maintain a relaxed mood.

Dogs and cats are often particularly sensitive to sudden changes in their environment. From holidays, relocations or new family members to fireworks on New Year's Eve, there are many different triggers for a stressed pet. The outward signs of stress are similar in both species. Typical symptoms include severe hair loss and increased scratching, changes in behaviour and eating or drinking habits, or sudden problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
Zilcalm® supports dogs and cats alike in stressful situations thanks to its natural ingredient complex. The contained milk protein hydrolysate, a peptide derived from milk protein (alpha-casozepine), makes it possible to calm the animal in a natural way without sedating it. In addition, the effect has been clinically proven and no side effects have been identified.
Zilcalm® is suitable for permanent and long-term administration as well as for short-term situational support during upcoming stressful events, such as moving house, a visit to the vet or New Year's Eve.
The product is formulated with physiological consistency in mind and therefore also contains ingredients to support brain function and the nervous system for a balanced nature. Zilcalm® also strengthens the immune system and promotes gastrointestinal health, as these systems also need support due to stress.
These key ingredients contained in Zilcalm® help the animal to cope with anxiety and stress:
- Milk protein hydrolysate: a peptide derived from milk protein (alpha-casozepine), makes it possible to naturally calm the animal without sedating it
- Ashwaganda: a medicinal plant that helps to cope with physical and mental stress
- L-tryptophan: an amino acid that works synergistically with milk protein hydrolysate to stimulate serotonin production - improves attention levels and mood, reduces aggression and stress
- Omega 3 fatty acids: reduce anxiety and support brain health
- Vitamin B6 & B12: support cognitive functions and the nervous system
- Vitamin E: antioxidant, increased requirement in stressful situations
- Magnesium: increased requirement in stressful situations, a magnesium deficiency can lead to increased susceptibility to stress
- Prebiotics & postbiotics: to support the microbiome (healthy gastrointestinal function contributes to general well-being)
