Product information "Weleda Visiodoron Euphrasia comp.® eye ointment"
Visiodoron Euphrasia comp. Eye Ointment is a homeopathic medicinal speciality of the anthroposophic school of therapy. It is suitable for use in conjunctivitis, eyelid margin inflammation, chalazion and sty.
The indications are derived from the homeopathic drug pictures and the anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature.
The following indications are authorised for this medicinal product:
To support the healing of:
- uncomplicated conjunctivitis
- Inflammation of the eyelid margins (blepharitis), characterised by sticky eyelid margins in the morning
- Chalazion, characterised by a mostly painless, nodular swelling at the edge of the eyelid
- Barley grain (hordeolum), characterised by painful inflammation at the edge of the eyelid, also with a tendency to recurrence
The use of this homeopathic medicine of the anthroposophic therapeutic direction in the above-mentioned indications is based exclusively on anthroposophic experience. In severe forms of these diseases, clinically proven therapy is indicated.
This medicine is used in adults, adolescents and children over one year of age. It should only be used in children under one year of age after consultation with a doctor. If you do not feel better or even worse after 2 days, consult your doctor.
The combination of eyebright, marigold and coneflower alleviates the symptoms of conjunctivitis, eyelid inflammation, chalazion and styes. Eyebright alleviates symptoms (itching, burning, pain) of inflamed, watery and reddened eyes. Calendula and coneflower have an anti-inflammatory effect and promote the healing process. Echinacea also has a stimulating effect on the immune system.
- Tip for a sty: The sty usually opens by itself after a few days; the secretion drains away and the inflammation heals without complications. Dry heat by irradiation with red light promotes the "maturation" of the sty and the breakthrough of the secretion. Under no circumstances should the swelling be manipulated without authorisation. If not done properly, the condition can worsen. If necessary, an ophthalmologist will open the sty.
- Recommendation for conjunctivitis: Visiodoron Euphrasia eye drops (also available as monodoses) or Visiodoron Calendula eye drops are recommended for use during the day in the case of conjunctivitis. The eye ointment is particularly suitable for overnight use. Simply apply a strand of ointment to the conjunctival sac shortly before going to bed and leave to work overnight.
